The importance of Anant Chaturdashi and its rituals
We all know that Ganeshotsav is one of the most popular festivals of Hindus. But despite of understanding the importance, most of us are not familiar with the importance of Anant Chaturdashi. It is basically celebrated as the last day of Ganeshotsave. Usually, it falls in the 10th or the 11th day after the Chaturthi.
This is a special day due to fact that the idols of lord Ganesha are immersed in ponds, lakes, rivers and sea. The Anant Chaturdashi puja is performed along with it and people celebrate the tie in an immense joy. They express their happiness and gratitude for the lord by dancing on the beats. An immense numbers of slogans are performed by the people participating in the event and the lord is send farewell with a request to come back next year and bring wisdom and prosperity to the people.
If we talk from the perspective of Anant Chaturdashi 2011 on 11 September ,then we will find that this year also it will be celebrated with an immense joy in most of the parts of India. Some of the prominent places in India where this year also the Anant Chaturdashi puja will be organized on a grand scale include Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Mysore, and different other prominent coastal areas of the country.
You can easily find these days, the small and large size idols of the lord in carts and trucks respectively. These idols are either purchased or created by the masses and the religious communities in order to organize the Anant Chaturdashi puja on a grand scale. The good news is that Anant Chaturdashi 2011 arrangements are on the verge of completion in the prominent cities of Maharashtra and soon you will observe the streets of these cities fully crowded and completely packed with the organizers and the spectators.
This year also special arrangements will be done in order to manage all the affairs in the most effectual manner. There will be the idols of the deity around 10 to 15 feet in height. The Dagdooseth Halwai Ganapati, Pune and The Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbai will be the most promising attraction on the day of Anant Chaturdashi.
