Also people do fast for continuous nine days beginning from Ugadi and continuing till Sri Ram Navami. The motive of people for fast is to search for a perfect human being. There are also several pujas, yagyas, artis that are being performed by people on Sri Rama Navmi. In the temples of Sri Rama, there are regular bhajan sessions being organized all throughout Ram navmi.

Janmashtmi: This is the birth day of lord Krishna. Just like Rama navmi, janmashtmi is also celebrated in India with full zeal. It is celebrated at generally at 12 in night. People perform the complete process of puja. Proper preparations are done for same. Jhankis, sweets etc are made etc.
